The Baltic Triangle, traditionally a zone for industrial use, has begun to change in character in recent years and is now a sought after and trendy area for many city lovers to inhabit. Baltic 3 is part of a 3 phase scheme, this 3rd phase will bring 64 apartments to the area; made up of 27 no. 1 bed apartments and 37 no. 2 bed apartments. The building will a part ten, nine and seven storey building with 830sqm of commercial floor space as well as 110 cycle spaces.
Red brick has been chosen as the dominant material to ensure that the buildings are respectful of their surroundings within the Baltic area, which has a strong gritty, industrial feel, characterised, in part, by a warehouse typology. A more modern approach utilising light and dark stone colour rain screen cladding is proposed for the plinth to the ground/mezzanine commercial uses. The scheme will also incorporate aluminium curtain walling and glazing units.
