An award winning sheltered housing scheme in Chester. Sited in a mature residential Conservation Area it uses simple forms and natural appropriate materials to provide an interesting and harmonious environment.

For The Architect’s Benevolent Society this project is aimed at Architects and their immediate dependants. Particular care has been taken to exploit the internal and external view both towards the private gardens and outwards to Victoria Crescent, stimulating activity and social contact with other residents and the outside world. The building provides 14 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with additional guest accommodation and ancillary service accommodation All dwellings and communal spaces are fully accessible.
We were selected to deliver this project after winning a national RIBA design competition. The scheme later went on to win an RIBA Housing Design Award.
